I wonder if everyone who has been hating on the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry was watching tonight. This game was something else! It literally had everything. I know I could focus on the some of the potential negatives (like the bullpen) but for tonight I am simply going to revel in the fact that Red Sox fans are once again cursing Yankee names.
It was a bit surprising to me that Jete swung at ball four twice in the 8th inning. But A-Rod’s shot was a monster! Seriously, go right now and watch it on Yankees.com. He just crushed that thing.
I think the Yankees are inside JP’s head. How many saves has he blown against the Yankees in the last two years. This is the type of win that could propel them into the type of tough, hard nosed team that characterized last year’s gritty performers. Of course, it’s only good until first pitch tomorrow.
