Everyone has them. I know I do and I bet that you do too. You know that friend that is often right but is so annoying that you just don’t care.  Maybe it’s a crazy uncle. The information is good but the delivery makes the information more painful than a double root canal sans Novocaine.

That’s kind of how I feel about Tim McCarver. I remember when he just did Mets games back when Doc Gooden hadn’t quite gotten into the nose candy like a fat kid swimming in cotton candy. Back when Daryl Strawberry was known for his sweet as sugar swing and not his prolific support of the prostitution and drug industry Tim McCarver actually did a decent job as a broadcaster.
