Nomar has officially retired. As a Yankees fan, I always kind of felt sorry for him. I mean he took all sorts of unfair criticism in Boston before he left. Then he got hurt in Chicago. His time in LA was unremarkable. He’ll always be tied to A-Rod and Jeter as they all hit the scene around the same time.
Of course, his truly laudable accomplishment is his marriage to Mia Hamm. As a soccer fan, I admit my love of Mia. I wonder how he will do as a broadcaster. I suppose we’ll see.
