George Will and Joe West Drinking the same Drink…

Yesterday (Sunday, The 11th), Gorge Will was on MLB Network George Will was interviewed about the length of games. George dropped a beautiful load of illogicality.  George said something to the effect that Joe West worked the plate at an Orioles game the night before and the game only went 2 hours and some odd minutes (I think it was under 2.5 but I don’t want to pay for the transcript of the interview).  Then Georgie gave us a beautiful throw away line. He said, “The final score was 3-0.”

George, maybe you should go back to writing articles debunking Global Warming.

3 RUNS! 3 LOUSY RUNS!  Are you serious? I mean, you have to be joking right? Let’s look at the Yankees, Red Sox scores:

Game 1: Boston 9, Yankees 7. (That’s 16 runs George, more than 5 times your Orioles game)

Game 2: Boston 6, Yankees 4. (George, that’s 10 runs. That’s more than 3 times your Orioles game).

Game 3. Boston 3, Yankees 1. (Now, we’re only 1 more run than that blessed Orioles game that had that wonderfully accurate strike caller Joe West working it). Of course, this game was the closest in time to the Orioles game.

This whole argument continues to be ridiculous. It is simply absurd.  Once again highlighting perhaps, our society’s pathological need for control. Baseball is a game that ebbs and flows. Some games go faster than others.

If Super Storm Trooper Roger Goodell is going to suspend Ben R for not being guilty, than Bud had better step-up and send Joe West packing for a few games.
