It is well documented that Lebron is a Yankee fan so please don’t try and tell me that this has nothing to do with the Yankees.
I would like to say that I officially don’t care that Lebron went to Miami. I think it’s funny that everyone moans and complains when an athlete takes a huge contract to go somewhere or stay somewhere. They bitc& and moan about how terrible it is that the athlete sold out for money. They talk about how in the old days it was about winning.
Well, Lebron made a decision to take LESS money because he thought it would give him a BETTER chance to win. Now, he handled the whole situation like an ass and the aforementioned four letter word station did too, but if he had gone back to Cleveland no one would have griped about it. I didn’t hear anyone lauding the laurels of loyalty when Cleveland was going after Tom Izzo. Cleveland just sounds like an ugly spurned romance.
Having said that, I truly do think that the TV special was beyond ridiculous and I didn’t watch a single minute of it.
Evidently, ESPN’s own watchdog agrees with me that it was in bad taste.
