I can say for sure that there have been way too many unprofessional moments. Jerry West sounded off about the Yankees/Red Sox speed of the game. Unprofessional? Check. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen an umpire take his mask off and invite an argument with a coach or player. That simply cannot happen. They are impugning their right to be unbiased arbitrators of the game.

Hi Nolan,
Thanks for reading. I disliked this trade long before the season started. I disliked it when it was made. I disagree that Melky is just a glorified utility player. He's a serviceable outfielder and again you are undervaluing the chemistry he brings into the clubhouse. Also, your point about Javy being 3rd in the Cy Young award is kind of moot as I have often said that NL numbers rarely translate into AL numers.
I respect that you disagree with this post, could you answer the question for me about the last time he pitched well in a game that mattered?
Also, the teams records don't necessarily mean whether or not a team got better or worse. The Braces may well have been the same or worse, and the Yankees may well be two games up for the best record without this trade. We simply don't know. What we do know is that Javy has looked bad, pathetically bad in every start that he has had this year. I believe we'll only be better if we get rid of him.

Terrible post, its wayyyy to early in the season to judge the trade. The Braves were no hit this year and have won 4 of their last 15 games. How can you say they got better and we got worse when we are just barely behind the best team in baseball in the standings and are on a 4 win streak. The braces are 12 and 16 and are in last in their division. We are 19 and 8 and a game back from first. How does this post make any sense? Anyway, just let the season play out before you make judgments.
