Yanks Clinch No Worst Than Wild Card Tie
The Yankees win an exciting game to watch tonight! Seriously, I refused to move from the kitchen seat into the living room because I didn’t want to mess up the rally. What a game. Mo blows a save. Joba actually pitches well and the hitting comes through.
Tonight was a fun night to be a Yankee fan and to watch the game.

Yankees Sqander One
So the 2010 Yankees may be the most frustrating team you’ve ever met. At least that I’ve ever met. How on God’s green earth did they lose the game today? They were up by more runs than Obama has years left in office, even if he goes two terms!
They were terrible. There were more pitches thrown in this game than…well, I’m so ticked off I don’t really have a good metaphor. On top of that Kendra Morales was on half of my fantasy rosters and he broke his leg today! Sheesh! What a day.

Joe Nathan is Done For the Season
Joe Nathan reportedly has a tear of the ligaments in his elbow. This will most likely end his season. It may or may not crush the Twins chances to win the Central.
Nathan is a premier closer. One of the best, especially during the regular season but the Twins may have the personell to step up and fill his role. This wouldn’t be the first time that in the presence of tragedy a young player has stepped up and done incredible things.
Only time will tell. For now, the Tigers and White Sox have to be somewhat breathing a sigh of relief today.

Countdown to Opening Day
As a baseball blogger, I feel it’s my responsibility to at least make some sort of preview and predictions about the upcoming season. As a bit of a superstitious person I confess that predictions make me nervous but there’s that whole heat and kitchen thing to keep in mind so I soldier on!
Thoughts for Cubs fans today
If you were a Cubs fan, you might drink yourself to the point where you’d be willing to slide through a urinal too.
Baseball is like Good Sex: Why The Game is Just Fine.
I am so sick of ESPN telling me how football is better than baseball. A few years ago I read Bob Costas’ book, Fair ball. It made me ill realize it was written a number of years ago now, but he makes so many arguments that I believe have come to be proven wrong that I almost feel like I wasted my time reading it. One of the contentions he makes is that Baseball is no longer
America’s past time and he insinuates that baseball is to blame. In fact he says baseball is broke. Here’s my one word response: HOGWASH.

Finally
The day has finally come. Pitchers and catchers reporting. Fresh off of a World Series ring the Yankees are well positioned to repeat. There are quite a few questions and the season will have too many turns and runs to count at this point, so I’m curious what about you? What are your thoughts and predictions for the year?
